It’s this Saturday, 24th of May at 2 p. m. when there is third qualifying round to the Challenge of Speedway European Championships in Żarnowica, Slovakia. The main candidates to win this tournament are definitely Poles, Dane Peter Kildemand and ex – European Champion Ales Dryml.
Today at 7 p. m. in Eskilstuna, Sweden there is the last round of Speedway Best Pairs Cup 2014. Most of the riders is already at the stadium where they are preparing for the official training session which is planned at 2 p. m. At the very last moment there have been changes in the lineups of two teams.
In Friday evening Speedway Best Pairs Cup 2014 will become history. At this moment the biggest chance to be the best pair in the world has Australian team but Denmark and Poland still believe in their success and they promise to fight until the very end.
On 23rd May in Eskilstuna there is the last tournament of Speedway Best Pairs Cup. Although Swedes have no chance to win the series, the manager Stefan Andersson says that the knowledge of the track can be a big advantage for his riders.
Just before the final round of Speedway Best Pairs Cup the riders were in Sweden to take part in the third round of Elitserien. Danes, Nicki Pedersen and Niels Kristian Iversen again confirmed great disposition. Australians weren’t worse. Fight in Eskilstina seems to be really exciting.
The great final of Speedway Best Pairs Cup is in a few days time. On 23rd of May seven national teams will take part in the tournament but only three of them still have chance for the final triumph. Who will get 10 points and who will be outsider? We’ll find out on Friday and in the meantime we have for you some interesting facts concerning the two previous rounds.
On Saturday there were first qualifying rounds to Speedway European Championships series. In Krsko and Daugavpils the riders, who were main candidates to final triumph, won. Five riders from each round have qualified for the challenge.
Matej Zagar had his first win in Individual World Championships. Third tournament of the series took place in Tampere, Finland. Representative of Australia in Speedway Best Pairs Cup, Chris Holder was fifth.
On 23rd May in Eskilstuna, Sweden there is final round of Speedway Best Pairs Cup. The chance for a win have three teams. Although it doesn’t mean that others aren’t going to fight! In Russian team there will be Grigorij Laguta who is coming back after the injury.
It’s already on Saturday, 17th May when in Krsko and Daugavpils there will be first qualifying rounds to Speedway European Championships series, which starts in July. At first, Ukrainians were supposed to be hosts for one of the round but, because of political situation in this country, it was moved to Daugavpils.
In the most interesting match of the second round of Swedish Elitserien, VMS Elit Vetland won with Smederna Ekilstuna 49:41. In Norrkoping, apart from racing, fans saw many falls which were caused by difficult track. The best in second round were Danes, Nicki Pedersen and Niels Kristian Iversen. Is it a warning for Australians before the final round of Speedway Best Pairs Cup?
It’s less than two weeks to third and last round of Speedway Best Pairs Cup. This time the best riders will appear on 23rd May in Eskilstuna where three team will fight for the win: Australia, Denmark and Poland.
