Several riders who are the part of Speedway European Championships and the Speedway Best Pairs occurred in the first round ENEA Ekstraliga in Poland. The best was Nicki Pedersen, who lost only one point. Sensation ended with a meeting in Gdansk, where the local Renault Zdunek Wybrzeze beat Unibax Torun 46:44.
Martin Vaculik scored 13 points for the Group Azoty Unia Tarnów and contributed to the victory of his team on track Polish Champion, SPAR Falubaz Zielona Gora. The visiting team also appeared Artem Laguta, who made 9 points. The best Falubaz rider was Jaroslaw Hampel, 16 points.
Everybody has been looking forward to this decision for a long time. Today we are sure that the final of Speedway European Championships will take place on the 19th September on SGP Arena in Czestochowa. The decision was announced during today’s press conference in Czestochowa.
First round of Speedway Best Pairs took place on the 28th March. In One Sport, which is the organizer of Speedway Best Pairs and Speedway European Championships, preparations are made for another events. Another tournament is on the 10th May in Landshut, Germany. In the meantime One Sport made valuable transfer – Krystian Jaworski has become new employee of the company. He will be director responsible for organization.

On Monday afternoon in Prague Emil Sajfutdinow signed a contract with Czech producer of frames for speedway bikes JAWA. The contract was signed for 2014 season but it can be renewed for another years. A supplier of engines for Emil Sajfutdinow is still Italian producer Giuseppe Marzotto with whom Russian has been cooperating since the beginning of the career.
Lokomotive Daugavpils with three Latvians who took part in Speedway Best Pairs Cup lost in away match with Polonia Bydgoszcz 33:57. According to the calendar of Nice Polish Speedway League it was a match of the second round but it was organized before the official beginning of the league. The best of the three riders who were present on Motoarena was Andzejs Lebedews.
Martin Vaculik and Artiom Laguta took part in a test match before the season in Tarnow. In the match with PGE Marma Rzeszow European Champion and a representative of Russia didn’t lose. Worse scores had Adrian Miedzinski who wasn’t chosen by the Polish manager to the team for the tournament of Speedway Best Paris Cup in Landhut. “Miedziak” started in a memorial of Alfred Smoczyk in Leszno where he scored 5 points and was eleventh.
On Saturday in Auckland this year Grand Prix series started. In New Zealand Martin Smolinski won unexpectedly. The rider is a representative of German team in Speedway Best Pairs Cup. Darcy Ward had a bad luck that day – he was hit by Smolinski. Australian rider was taken to a hospital with suspected concussion.
We’ve just finished the rivalry in the inaugural tournament of Speedway Best Pairs Cup in Torun and now we’re waiting for Germany and another round of the series. This time the course is LANDSHUT!
All riders who want to take part in Speedway European Championships series will have to cope with three qualifying rounds and Challenge. Although it is hard and difficult way, it is worth to try.
