The fourth part of Speedway Flash is ahead of us! As usually, Marcelina Rutkowska presents the most interesting information from speedway world. While watching our program it is also possible to take part in the competition and win ticket for inaugural Speedway Best Pairs Cup event which already takes place at MotoArena in Toruń on the 28th March.
Three semis of Individual European Championship were planned in season 2015. Unfortunately because of the political situation in Ukraine FIM Europe has decided that the qualifying round in Równe, which was planned on the 16th May, will be cancelled.
One of SEC qualifying round in 2015 takes place in Debrecen. At first the event was supposed to take place on the 25th May but in the last FIM – Europe’s announcement there can be read that it was moved to the first day of May.
- We all count on a great show and full stadium – emphasized all participants of Tuesday’s press conference which took place in municipality in Ostrów. During the conference there was a presentation of city of Ostrów as host of the “Great Final” of Speedway European Championships 2015!
The second time in a row Niels Kristian Iversen will be Nicki Pedersen’s partner in Speedway Best Pairs Cup 2015. Last season “PUK” started in two rounds and each time Denmark took the second place just after Australians. However Iversen believes that this season they will manage to take the cup from “Kangaroos”.
Last year you took the second place in Speedway Best Pairs Cup. Do You rate it as a disappointment, or success?
- I think that all athletes wants to be number one. With that in mind we was quite happy to end up second. All riders rate the Best Pairs high and it was a strong lineup last year like it will be this year as well.
Triple World Champion, Nicki Pedersen and coming back after the injury Niels Kristian Iversen will ride again as a pair! Riders from Denmark again will fight for Speedway Best Pairs Cup trophy. Is someone able to interrupt them?!
Over the past 24 months, Martin Smolinski has been seen more and more, using engines from the Czech manufacturer Jawa, in various training sessions and race meetings. In Autumn 2014, Martin won the Dingolfing dirt track classic meeting, using a Jawa motor.
- We are able to fight for top places in Speedway Best Pairs Cup – says Grigorij Laguta. Grisha’s partners in the inaugural tournament in Toruń will be his younger brother Artiom and European Champion 2014 Emil Sajfutdinow.
Most of last season Grigorij Laguta spent at home, rehabilitating the injured leg. When he came back on a track he started to fascinate fans again. Russian will help his countrymen on the 28th March in Toruń when the inauguration of Speedway Best Pairs Cup takes place.

Another national team showed down for the first Speedway Best Pairs Cup series tournament. On the 28th March in Toruń Russians will start with a bit different squad than last year. Aleksander Loktajew will be replace by very experienced rider Grigorij Laguta. Will Laguta brothers and Emil Sajfutdinow be able to fight for a win?!
