SEC Organizers reveal another cards. Second Round of Speedway European Championships will take place on July 20th 2014 in Togliatti (Russia). What's more, One Sport & Mega-Lada co-announced that the deal is signed for 2 upcoming seasons.
Inauguration speedway international competitions in the new season will take place on March 28 in Motoarena, Torun. On this day, the best riders of Polish, Australia, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Germany and Latvia will begin competition in the cycle Speedway Best Pairs Cup. Tickets for this event are available for sale-what is important, the fans still have only 10 days to purchase tickets at a special price.
For Ales Dryml last season was pretty successful in Polish league. He was riding for the club from Grudziadz. He also took part in Speedway European Championships series but his scores weren’t so good there.
Russian Roman Povazhny after the season 2013 decided to finish his speedway career. Main reason of this decision was the injury which he had last year. His last time on a track was on the 23rd of August during Individual Russian Championships. Now he says that he isn’t going to ride anymore even as a form of relax. – I don’t have any bike. All were sold – says Russian.
Speedway European Championships series was nominated for the finalists Sport Business Awards 2013 in a category “Sport Event”. Apart from the One Sport’s project two other events are nominated for this award: Beach Volleyball World Cup Mazury 2013 and Orlen Warsaw Marathon.
German AC Landshut is coming to the world of speedway. On Sunday, the 10th of May at 7 PM on OneSolar Arena Landshut second round of Speedway Best Pairs Cup takes place. On Tuesday the representatives of the club and One Marketing met in Landshut and confirmed their cooperation in 2014 season.
Today at 11 in hotel Bulwar in Torun was a press conference concerning this tournament which will be similar to traditional World Pairs Championships. Guests of One Sport were: president of Torun, Michal Zaleski, Polish legend of speedway Tomasz Gollob and director of communications in Eurosport Polska, Radoslaw Jaworski.
Andreas Jonsson is another participant of this year Speedway European Championships who has chosen the lucky number for him. Swede will appear on a track with number #100 on his plastron.
Zbigniew Boniek is one of the best Polish football players. He is also one the hundred best players in the World football according to FIFA. He has been the president of Polish Football Association since 26th October 2012. Boniek has never denied that his great passion is also speedway. He comes from Bydgoszcz, the city where Tomasz Gollob was born. Polish World Champion because of great respect for Boniek has chosen #20 on his plastron which he will have in Speedway European Championships. The president of Polish Football Association had some time to tell us about his memories connected with Tomasz Gollob.
The 2013 European Champion is preparing for the new season. Slovak is really optimistic about the idea of choosing the starting numbers by the riders –" It’s really good idea. Every rider has lucky and favorite number which he would like to have on his back while he is riding. It can be a kind of talisman. It is also very good way of popularizing speedway and a rider. When you ask fans about the number 46, their first association are connected with Valentino Rossi. The number of a rider is like his second name. This is really it, I’m really happy with this idea."
Nicki Pedersen chose the number with which he will start in Speedway European Championships. Vice – European Champion 2013 confirmed that there will be number #5 on his plastron. It is worth to add that “five” will be also present on other parts of the rider’s kevlar.
Another rider chose a number to compete in Speedway European Championships. 2013's bronze medalist, Russian, Grigory Laguta ultimately chose number # 111. "Grisha" reacted very positively to this possibility, noting that similar things take place in the motocross competition, Moto GP and F1.
