The second time in a row Niels Kristian Iversen will be Nicki Pedersen’s partner in Speedway Best Pairs Cup 2015. Last season “PUK” started in two rounds and each time Denmark took the second place just after Australians. However Iversen believes that this season they will manage to take the cup from “Kangaroos”.
- Honestly, I don’t know if we are the main candidates to win. This is sport and everything can happen. Additionally there are really unexpected situations in speedway and this leads to surprising scores. Personally I think that there are a few teams at the same, very high level and it is really difficult to say who has the biggest chance to win. – says Niels Kristian Iversen.
Iversen is coming back to racing after a bad injury which he got during one of Grand Prix rounds in Gorzów. As he assures, on the 28th March in Toruń he will be ready in 100 percent.
- Yes, it is still some time so I will build my form with no problems to be ready at the beginning of the season. Surely I will be ready in one hundred percent during my first heat in season 2015 and I’m really looking forward to it. Together with the doctors we have prepared some kind of plan and I realize it. I’m training all the time and step by step I’m coming back to the best disposition.
At the end of the series the riders will move to Esbjerg so the town where Niels Kristian Iversen starts. Is it going to be special event for him?
- These days it’s my home track in Denmark because I’m racing for the local team. What is more, Esbjerg is my home town and I will always look forward to racing there. I have many friends there and I feel there really great. I think that the organizers have made a great choice because a great event can be done in Esbjerg.
