Emil Sajfutdinow will definitely remember last weekend for a long time. At first Russian won in the third round of Speedway European Championships in Hoslted and the next day scored the maximum in Polish Enea Ekstraliga.

Thanks to the Saturday victory Emil Sajfutdinow is ahead Nicki Pedersen in general classification, only small step from the European Champion title. Last year he wasn’t able to do that because of the injury. This year everything depends on him. It is worth to mention that the last tournament of SEC takes place in Częstochowa – on the track which Emil knows really well, he rode there last season.

Thanks to the victory in Holsted, Sajfutdinow is now the leader as far as the number of tournaments won is concerned. In a short, two year, history of the series he managed to do that three times. Before the last tournament Sajfutdinow has three point advantage over Peter Kildemand, who is the second and is the rider of Włókniarz Częstochowa this season. It seems that Nicki Pedersen, didn’t have a good score in Holsted, again will have a problem to win the title.

Coming back to Sajfutdinow, Sunday match of Unibax Toruń with SPAR Falubaz Zielona Góra was really great for him. Five times he was standing in front of the tape and the rider from Bashkortostan won in every heat. What is more the rivals didn’t have any chance to catch him and always he had great advantage over them. Additionally Sajfutdinow had the best time at Motoarena in Toruń.

In a month there is last part of this year’s SEC series, it takes place in Częstochowa. It seems that at this moment the main candidate to take the title from Martin Vaculik is the Russian. However it is worth to remember that last year Nicki Pedersen had six point advantage over Martin Vaculik and he didn’t manage to defend it. How is it going to be this time? We will find out already on the 19th of September.
