Jurica, you had an occasion to start in Speedway European Championships series last season. What are your memories connected with this event?
- It was really great although my scores weren’t satisfactory of course. As far as the event itself is concerned, everything was great – from organization to atmosphere. SEC is really step forward for the whole speedway and being a part of it was a honor for me.

What are your expectations connected with this year series?
- Generally I am very happy that I can race in SEC again. My form is not very good, I still have some problems with the bikes so I don’t have any special expectations.

Do you think that this time the lineup of Speedway European Championships is stronger?
- I think that probably yes. In my opinion, this year there is no clear favorite to win. Well, maybe apart from Martin Vaculik who is really in a great form.

During the Challenge you rather didn’t have problems to qualify to the series. Was it really so or?
- I have to admit that everything went well for me in Debrecen and there wasn’t any moment when I was afraid that I could not qualify. Of course I’m not going to say that the riders were bad but I was such good setups that I wasn’t nervous at all. Apart from that I know the track in Debrecen really well.

This year series starts in Gustrow. Do you know this track?
- Not very well. I was racing there once and I remember that it is very short track.

What can you say about the rest of the track where SEC tournaments are?
- Generally I was riding on every of them. Some I know better and some worse – we’ll what the results will be (laugh).

There won’t be tournament in Gorican. Do you regret?
- No (laugh). It’s really hard to race on the home track because I want to win and usually the results are different from what I want. People definitely regret because they would like to see speedway at this level but everything is possible in the future.

As we said before you know SEC but do you think that the series can surprise you also this season?
- I wouldn’t be surprised if it was so (laugh). The organizers are young and very creative people. I know that they have a lot of cool ideas. What is more, they talk with us, I mean the riders and they take our opinions into consideration. Honestly, I expect some surprises.

What result would satisfied you this season?
- I don’t have any specific goal. I want to do my best. In individual tournaments usually I’m more successful than in a league so I want to make some surprises.
