Today at 7 p. m. in Eskilstuna, Sweden there is the last round of Speedway Best Pairs Cup 2014. Most of the riders is already at the stadium where they are preparing for the official training session which is planned at 2 p. m. At the very last moment there have been changes in the lineups of two teams.

Denmark will be represented by duo Nicki Pedersen – Michael Jepsen Jensen and the reserved will be Mikkel Bech. These changes are caused by Niels Kristian Iversen’s withdrawal from the tournament. It is because he was starting almost every day in the last few days. “Niels informed us that he is not able to take part in today’s event. His calendar is really busy and last few days was like a marathon for him. Apart from tournaments, there is also tiring travel and Dane simply hasn’t been feeling fit enough to be in Eskilstuna and help his team to fight for the final win. In such circumstances, Nicki Pedersen will be supported by Michael Jepsen Jensen and Mikkel Bech who have been in a very good form lately and they feel well on Swedish tracks” – commented Jan Konikiewicz, One Sport.

There are also changes made by Russians. Grigorij Laguta, who will start with number three, knows the track really well and will lead the Russian pair. Emil Sajfutdinow has resigned from taking part in the last round of SBPC and he will be replaced by Renat Gafurow. Reserved will be Wiktor Kulakow. “Please ask Emil’s team about the reasons of his absence. A few days ago we were sure that he would start in the final round but it won’t happen. Despite of this, Grigorij Laguta, who knows the track as his own, is able to lead Russian to win this tournament”

According to experts, the main candidates to win the tournament are winners of two previous rounds of SBPC, Australians who have showed up in Eskilstuna with the strongest lineup: Chris Holder, Darcy Ward, Davey Watt.

Live transmission starts from 7 p. m., only in Eurosport.
