Supporters who decided to come to Toruń's Motoarena to see Eurosport Speedway Best Pairs saw an interesting competition. Best duets event was very exciting and ended with Poles victory. We present the statements of main actors of this tournament.

Marek Cieślak (Polish team manager):
Pair competitions were always interesting and I am happy that today supporters could watch rivalry of the best pairs of the world. I hope that next year it will develop and it will be real world cup. I want to thank my team for rising to the occasion. It wasn't easy, because the opponents were very good; we lost some points, but we made it at the end. Congratulations for Russia and Denmark too. Together we created a beautiful spectacle.

Tomasz Gollob (Poland):
It's great that we started in this cup and that it was so exciting. It's good direction for speedway, for its development. I want to thank my teammates and my coach Marek Cieślak. It's our common succes. We were at home and had a lot of pressure on us. We didn't want to disappoint such great crowd. Thank you for you support, it really meant a lot for us.

Emil Sajfutdinow (Russia):
Everything was going our way until the final. We won the first round of the tournament and we wanted to win in the last heat. Unfortunately we overslept a little bit at the start and Tomasz Gollob started perfectly. He locked us and Poles were riding to the finish line. We are happy of our second position and when we'll have a chance we'll do everything to stand on a highest step of a podium again.

Michael Jepsen Jensen (Denmark):
We're pleased with our result. Many strong pairs with great riders started here. We qualified to play-off and I think it's a big succes, because Poland and Russia had a brilliant form. Hans and I gave our best.
