Niels Kristian Iversen won the GP round on the one day track in Stockholm. Very unlucky fixture that was for a few SEC riders. Only Nicki Pedersen finished the meeting without injury. He missed the semifinals and finished that round with 5 points only.
Horrible begining for two SEC riders in the second heat of the night. Tai Woffinden comin’ from the third place hit second Tomasz Gollob in the back wheel. Polish international falled strongly on his head and straight he lost his consciousness. Woffinden was in shock for a long time and his health condition was worsed and worsed heat by heat.
Gollob was taken straight to the hospital where he had medicine tests. The doctors told him to stay ‘cause they were worried about his back. That injury complicates everything in World Championships for polish rider and his situation in Speedway European Championships also. So far we need to wait for official decisions. After the competition Tai Woffinden wanted to go to the hospital for an X-ray, ‘cause he were strugling with the colarbone injury. Very dangerous fall for Martin Vaculik also. Slovakian international went to wide, hit the fense and felt dangerously on his head. After that crash he decided not to continue the meeting.
Round in Stckholm was very unlucky for the SEC riders. Before the last fixture in Torun Tai have 15 points advantage over Jaroslaw Hampel and only miracle could take a trophy away from british rider.
