Tomasz Gollob was the first rider, who had received the SEC wild card right before the season started. 18 points and 13th place would not impress anyone, but one's got to remember that the best Polish rider achieved this result in only two rounds.

In the last season, Martin Smolinski got 13 points in 3 rounds of Speedway European Championships. Now, he made a progress by gathering 4 points more (17 points total). However, it led him only to 14th place. Before the season, German was given a wild card. Surely, fans counted on his good performance, especially in front of his home crowd in Landshut, Bavaria. It was a trip to Sweden though, that would bring the biggest smile on Martin's face.
At the beginning of the season, Tomasz Jędrzejak was in a really fine disposition. It was confirmed f.e. in national qualifications to European Championship and mostly during the SEC Challenge in Toruń. "Ogór" reached the 3rd place and without bigger problems advanced to the SEC series in 2015.
As we all perfectly know, speedway is packed with great emotions, but most of all effective actions remembered and watched for a long time. We decided to pick the TOP 5 (in our opinion) most interesting actions of the past SEC season.
As we've mentioned before, Paweł Przedpełski was the most effective wild card holder of this year's Speedway European Championships. Youngster from Toruń reached 2nd place during the inaugural round at Motoarena. Only Nicki Pedersen placed in front of him.
In every Speedway European Championships round there's a wild card given, which allows to start in the meeting and we've got to admit that this year's choices were really accurate, because 3 out of 4 riders advanced at least to the race-off heat.
Another track reserves, who presented their skills in this year's SEC series were two Swedes combining together 10 points in Kumla. Fredrik Engman and Joel Andersson presented themselves in a decent way.
Individual tournaments have the rule concerning reserves listed under numbers 17 and 18. Their appearance though, depends on other riders' mistakes (like touching the tape) or indisposition. It was no different in this year's SEC series. Let's judge the reserves!
Individual European Champion 2015 Emil Sayfutdinov and silver SEC medalist Nicki Pedersen prolonged their contracts with Unia Leszno.
Ostrów Wielkopolski was the last stop of this year's Speedway European Championships edition. Despite a big advantage over the rivals, Emil Sayfutdinov kept his concentration till the end, so that anything unexpected would happen.
