We're starting the fight for the European best rider's title. Today in Güstrow, first out of four rounds of Speedway Euro Championship will be held. Meeting starts at 7 PM.

Before the first SEC round in Güstrow, which runs this Saturday, we're with Sam Ermolenko - a legend of the American speedway and Eurosport commentator.

 On Tuesday's noon in the Conference Center Adgar Plaza in Warsaw, a press conference concerning upcoming Speedway Euro Championship was held.

 Peter Ljung, who will have a debut in the Speedway Euro Championship drew the starting no.1 for the first round in Güstrow. In his first heat, he will compete with world's vice-champion 2014 Krzysztof Kasprzak, Leon Madsen and the SEC 2015 bronze medalist Antonio Lindbaeck. Double European Champion, Emil Sayfutdinov, got no.9 and in the first series, he'll challenge Nicolas Covatti, Vaclav Milik and Grigorij Laguta.

 He's one of the most titled riders in the history. Both individual and in the team racing, he's reached nearly everything that a speedway rider can achieve. He was the only one to finish each of three SEC edition at the podium. He's missing only one thing, though, and it's the European Champion title. Will Nicki Pedersen go for it in this year?

 None of Poles have reached the Speedway Euro Championship medal so far. They've been performing well, having some sparks, however it was never enough to reach the TOP 3. Will it be different now?

 It was not far from SEC having only one winner. Tough injury (in 2013) prevented Emil Sayfutdinov from reaching three golden medals. In this year, however, Russian's got a chance to get this "hat-trick".

 On Wednesday's morning, in Rybnik, the press conference concerning the Great Final of Speedway Euro Championship was held. Organizers talked through several aspects, including presenting the ticket prices.

Inaugural round of Speedway Euro Championship starts in less than a month. It's on July 16 in German Güstrow, when the best European riders will fight for the first points, which will get them closer to the wanted title. Meanwhile, SEC organizers has given the wild card for the first round. It was received by Kai Huckenbeck.
