Two big time speedway events will be held in Güstrow!

Rounds of the tournaments of FIM Speedway U21 World Championship and Speedway Euro Championship will take place in 2017, in German Güstrow. It's the fourth consecutive year, when at the North of Germany, the most important speedway tournaments organized by One Sport will be held.

The incredible last round

After three rounds, he was at 9th position in the overall classification, with a 6-point loss to Antonio Lindbaeck. Not many thought then, that despite a slightly worse season, Nicki Pedersen would surprise everyone and grab the European Champion title in a big style.

Great success of Milik

By reaching for the European Championship's silver medal, Vaclav Milik followed up Ales Dryml's success from 2012. After last year's season, when Milik was adjusting to the Euro Championship meetings, this one looked way better. Secons position is a phenomenal result and a great starting point.

First medal for the white and reds!

None of the Poles had reached for the Speedway Euro Championship medal until 2016. They performed steadily, had some big sparks, however it was not enough to end in the TOP 3. This impasse was broken by Krzysztof Kasprzak.

One step away from a historical achievement

Is getting the European Champion title in three rounds even possible? Grigorij Laguta was really close to prove that it can actually happen. The only thing he was missing is a good performance at his home track in Rybnik.

The last lucky man

Leon Madsen took 5th position, last one promoting to SEC 2017. However, he had to fight for it really hard and managed to reach for it in the additional heat. How did the Dane's path to fifth position of European Championship look like?

02.11.16
Lindbaeck with nothing left

Before the last round of Speedway Euro Championship, Antonio Lindbaeck was the cycle's leader and it seemed like he was about to take the title at the well-known track in Rybnik. Everything went the wrong way though.

No triple crown coming (for now)

Emil Sayfutdinov didn't defend the Individual European Champion title. What's more, he didn't manage to qualify for the next year's Speedway Euro Championship series. If only Russian had had a bit more luck, he could've reached for another gold. This time... one heat was missing.

25.10.16
Close, but still quite far

Przemysław Pawlicki started in the Speedway Euro Championship for the second consecutive season. In 2015, he got 28 points that gave him 8th position. In the previous one, he got 5 more, however did not improve his position in the overall classification.

21.10.16
More points - better position

Season 2016 was a comeback for Andzejs Lebedevs to once again race in the European Championship. At the first time, in 2014, Latvian got a brutal crash with European reality and couldn't get a single individual win. This year, he was facing this challenge too, however, ultimately, he improved with his points and position.

21.10.16
A dreamed-of debut

Chance for points in Güstrow was stolen by the injury caught in the league. However, once he appeared at his track in Daugavpils, proved that he's a rider with some exceptional skills, always being a threat to his rivals.

19.10.16
First such case

Janusz Kołodziej out of the TOP 5 of Speedway Euro Championship. Couple whiles ago, it was hard to imagine, however the 2016 season brought a brutal crash with reality for Pole. Since 2014, Kołodziej had been the best Polish rider in SEC, however, after this season, everything changed.
