On September 15th, after 15-years-long break, speedway legend of Śląski Stadium, which hosted a lot of world best speedway competitions, will finally revive. This year, our favourite sport will come back on „Śląski” by final round of Speedway Euro Championship and Polish national team friendly meeting. The tickets for that will be available from February 10th. The cheapest ones will cost only 19 PLN!
Last time, grand speedway took place on „witches' cauldron” in 2003. Then, the best riders on the world fought for European Grand Prix. These day, the best was Tony Rickardsson. One year earlier, the fastest was Nicki Pedersen, European Champion 2016.

Furthermore, on „Śląski” was hosted Team World Championships. In 1974, Britons were unbeatable. The most interesting was fight for bronze medal between Poles and the Soviet Union representatives. Finally, hosts won by 3 points.

Chorzów was also a host city of World Pair Championships. For Polish riders, the most succesful final took place in 1981, when Zenon Plech and Edward Jancarz won bronze medal.
