Vaclav Milik: Next year I’ll fight for gold

 Before last Speedway Euro Championship, Vaclav Milik was the biggest favourite to take the title. Czech finished competition in Lublin finished 6th. It resulted in him losing 2nd position in general classification. At the same time, he took bronze.

 Milik, since the beginning of tourmanent, had been riding very well. What caused that his duel against Andrzejs Lebedevs lasted until the end. A lot of about riders in SEC 2017 said fact, that Milik with 10 points was classificated on 6th position.

- I’m pretty happy about my performance. Congratulations for other guys, because we made a huge show until last races. I regret the exclusion in semifinal. I could gain a silver medal. - said Milik.

Czech had a bad luck in the end of the tournée. In the race-off, he faced Przemysław Pawlicki, Krzysztof Kasprzak and Kenneth Bjerre. A dangerous situation unfolded in the first lap. Vaclav Milik crashed with Przemysław Pawlicki, and that caused them both falling to the ground. The judge decided to exclude Milik from the repeat.

- I think I should not be excluded. I was riding on the outside, while Przemek was being pulled to the fence by Kasprzak. Przemek had to slow down his bike, but I could not do the same thing – said the bronze medalist after the match.

This year, it’s the second-in-a-row bronze medal in Speedway Euro Championship for Vaclav Milik. Czech was present at the second place on the podium, and he says that in the next year, he will be aiming for the gold.

- I would like to thank One Sport for excellently organised four rounds in this year’s cycle. Last year I took the silver, this one I’m leaving with the bronze. I am missing just gold medal, which I am going to fight for in the next season.
