We’ve already known the lineup for the SEC Challenge which takes place on 9th of June in Debrecen, Hungary. The organizers have received one wild card for this tournament. The representative of the hosts will be Jozsef Tabaka. Poles and Danes are definitely the main candidates to qualify to SEC 2014 but fans are also expecting some surprises.
Five Poles, three Danes, three Latvians, and one representative of: Sweden, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Croatia and Hungary will start in front of the fans in Debrecen. The main candidate to win the tournament is definitely Peter Kildemand who shows great disposition in all leagues. His younger colleague Michael Jepsen Jensen won the qualifying round and also would like to take part in Speedway European Championships.
Although Latvians took the last place in Speedway Best Pairs Cup, they always are dangerous and proved many times that aren’t going to give points to the others. It is worth to mention that Kjastas Puodzuks started last year in SEC and he was appreciated by many observers. Hans Andersen also wants to come back to the series – last year Dane was fourth in Individual European Championships. This time “Ugly Duck” wants to show that fight for European Championship is really important for him, what he has often emphasized.
Poles will definitely grab points from each other. Five representatives of Polish team will be fighting for a place in SEC. Janusz Kolodziej, Adrian Miedzinski, Przemyslaw Pawlicki, Patryk Dudek and Maciej Janowski. Only the last one had an occasion to race in Speedway European Championships series. In 2013 he was ex – equo fifth with Brit, Tai Woffinden.
For the riders from Challenge six participants of this year SEC are already waiting. They are: Martin Vaculik, Nicki Pedersen, Grigorij Laguta, Tomasz Gollob, Emil Sajfutdinow and Andreas Jonsson.
Update: Unfortunately, elimination to Grand Prix Challenge were shifted on Monday 09.06. In Debrecen will not ride: Tomas Suchanek, Maciej Janowski, Hans Andersen and Przemyslaw Pawlicki.
