In all the rounds of the Speedway Euro Championship held to this day, we watched four representatives of Great Britain. We checked how they did in the championship of the Old Continent.
Undoubtedly, the most notable performance belongs to Robert Lambert. The Norwich-born rider competed in the series in 2018-2021, and over the course of four seasons appeared in 16 rounds, in which he reached for victory three times. During his starts in the Speedway Euro Championship, he finished in the medal position twice - in 2018, he stood on the third step of the podium, while two years later, he became the first, and so far only, Brit to claim the title of Individual European Champion. To date, 'Ruthless' has scored 161 points in 86 starts.
Adam Ellis has been a regular participant in the last two editions of the series. The 28-year-old took part in 39 races, in which he scored 34 points. Thus far, he hasn't contended for the top spots, but in every race he participates in, spectators can expect spectacular riding and a fierce battle to the finish. Certainly, the Briton has the potential to become a leading figure in the SEC cycle in the coming years.
Daniel Bewley presented seven times on the tracks hosting the Individual European Championships. The Brit competed in the TAURON SEC in 2021-2022, participating in 39 heats, of which he won 11. What's more, Bewley stood on the podium of single rounds three times, finishing third in Gdańsk, Bydgoszcz and Pardubice. He finished the 2021 and 2022 competitions in fifth and seventh place overall, respectively.
In 2013 Tai Woffinden was a regular participant in the series. The three-time Individual World Champion scored 33 points in three rounds. He finished two rounds on the podium and was emerging as one of the main favorites for the title, but his plans were thwarted by an unfortunate accident during the FIM SGP round in Sweden, which forced him to end the season sooner.
