The competition in Güstrow didn't go well for Dimitri Berge. The Frenchman scored five points, which led him to a 13th position.
It wasn't his day right from the beginning. After two series, Berge had only one point. To make it worse, he got excluded from the next race for causing Andzejs Lebedevs fall. He didn't hide his frustration with his performance.
- It was a tough meeting for me. I performed poorly in both the first and second heats, which is why I decided to switch bikes. Unfortunately, due to the exclusion, I couldn't increase my score - Berge admitted.
The final phase of the competition turned out to be more positive for him. He finished the last two races in second place, which giving him hope for better performances in the third and fourth rounds of the TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2023.
- It is what it is, but I'm happy with the ending where I managed to score four points in two races - he said.
The third round of the series will take place at the track in Bydgoszcz. Berge has great memories of this venue, as he represented the local team Polonia from 2018 to 2021.
- It will be great to race in Bydgoszcz again. However, it will be a tough battle, as it is in the whole series. I hope that this time I'll be able to score more points - Berge ended.
