Three regular TAURON SEC participants competed in the SGP Challenge - the final qualifying round for next year's FIM Speedway Grand Prix series. Surprisingly, Jan Kvech did the best out of them.
The Czech finished Saturday's tournament in a fifth place, scoring a total of 10 points. Kvech must pin his hopes of advancing to next year's FIM SGP series on Martin Vaculik and Robert Lambert. If both finishes the current series in TOP 6 of the general classification, Czech will become a permanent participant in the prestigious series for the first time in his career.
In addition to Kvech, Andzejs Lebedevs and Dimitri Berge also took part in Gislaved. The former Individual European Champion took seventh place with nine points, while the French finished 10th.
