Rules

Each final tournament consists of 22 heats. After the main part of the meeting - that is, 20 heats in which everyone races everyone - the top two riders will secure a place in the Grand Final. Riders ranked from third to sixth will start in the last chance heat, with two remaining spots in the final at stake. They will be claimed, of course, by the winner and the runner-up of the "last chance heat".

The points scored in the last chance heat will not be included in the overall classification. The Grand Final is different. Its winner adds three bonus points to their tally, the runner-up earns two, and third place earns one. If a participant wins all their heats, they can collect 18 points that count toward the overall classification. The rider who gathers the most points after four final rounds will take the title of Individual European Champion.
