Three years of SEC - memorable moments: Güstrow's debut

On July 6, 2014, first round of Speedway Euro Championship was held. In German Güstrow, all the best European riders were fighting for points in the overall classification. Many of them had a first opportunity to compete at such a tough, technical track.

For a long, long time, there had been no speedway at the top level in Germany, so One Sport decided to give a chance to the organizers and make the first round in Güstrow possible. It was a bull's eye and what's more - Güstrow became the partner for upcoming years. Let's go back to the past, though. Not only the track in Güstrow is a short one, it's made of slag and the riders have to ride with their bikes bent through the whole time. Can't forget about the fact that the start/finish line is placed at the end of the second corner's exit.

Attendance was amazing - amount of fans at the stands overtook the organizers' predictions.

After the round in Güstrow, fantastic impression was left. Full packed stadium, loud applause through the whole meeting and a tough fight for points - it was a beautiful evening, especially for Nicki Pedersen, who got his first triumph in SEC, leaving behind Peter Kildemand and Janusz Kołodziej.

Everyone in Güstrow passed this test and that was why another meeting was taken there - this time Speedway Best Pairs Cup. In the next season, again, Speedway Euro Championship's inaugural round will be taken there - for the second time in history. We encourage to buy the tickets, which are available via www.etix.com.
