The second round of the upcoming series will take place on September 5th in Güstrow. The German city will host the battle for the Old Continent championship for the eleventh time. This is a good moment to recall what the competition looked like there a year ago.
The main phase was won by Kai Huckenbeck, who collected fourteen points and competed that evening as a 'wild card'. The second direct finalist was Leon Madsen, who had two points fewer than Huckenbeck after five series.
Patryk Dudek, Kacper Woryna, Andzejs Lebedevs, and Norick Blödorn met in the 'last chance heat'. The first two of them secured promotion to the final race.
In the final heat, 'Duzers' got the best start from under the tapes. However, Madsen quickly dealt with the Pole, took the lead, and did not give it up until the finish line. On the fourth lap, Dudek was overtaken by Huckenbeck after a phenomenal charge.
