The Individual European Speedway Championship will visit Leszno for the first time in history. Today, the third round of the TAURON Speedway Euro Championship will take place at the Alfred Smoczyk Stadium.
Throughout its long history, the Alfred Smoczyk Stadium has hosted many international events. Among them are five rounds of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix and four finals of the FIM Speedway World Cup. Now, the best speedway riders from across Europe will compete here.
At the halfway point of the competition, the standings leader is Patryk Dudek. 'Duzers' won the opening round of the series in Bydgoszcz and took third spot in Güstrow. He currently has 28 points and will look to increase his tally as much as possible this evening. Four points behind him is Kacper Woryna, the silver medalist in the standings and last year's bronze medalist. In recent weeks, he has shown that he feels really well on the bike, as evidenced by his qualification for next year’s FIM SGP series. In third place after two rounds is Leon Madsen. His start to the competition was not ideal - he finished only eighth in Bydgoszcz - but in the second round, he showed a completely different side by confidently winning the event. The tightly packed top group also includes Andžejs Lebedevs, Michael Jepsen Jensen, Dimitri Berge, and Nazar Parnitskyi.
What can be expected from the upcoming TAURON SEC round in Leszno? Above all, top-level excitement. One of the major advantages of the Leszno track is that it offers many thrilling races from start to finish.
