The Ukrainian rider finished seventh in the fourth round of the TAURON SEC 2025. In the overall standings of this year’s series, the newly crowned Under-21 Individual World Champion secured fifth place.
Nazar, you finish your first full season in the Speedway Euro Championship in a high fifth place, just three points behind the bronze medalist Leon Madsen. How do you assess this year’s series from your perspective?
- I rode well in all rounds except the one held in Pardubice. It’s a unique, hard oval where it’s difficult to gain speed on the outside. Because of that, I’m a bit disappointed since the medal was within my reach.
Who was the toughest opponent in the 2025 TAURON SEC?
- Definitely Patryk Dudek, who is having one of the best periods in his career this year. Wherever he competes, he fights for top positions, and he deserves great congratulations for that.
Your team, Fogo Unia Leszno, also had a successful season as you return to the PGE Ekstraliga after a year’s break. Do you think your career is developing properly and are you ready to compete in the world’s best league?
- I believe the time has come for me to try my strength in the PGE Ekstraliga. I earned promotion with Unia, and by staying in Leszno, I want to continue developing my career with this club. I think I have all the prerequisites to ride even better.
Finally, let me touch on the topic of the upcoming season, which looks very interesting for you. Competing in the PGE Ekstraliga, defending the FIM SGP2 title, and racing in the TAURON SEC are just some of the challenges ahead. That’s right.
- For me, as a young and developing rider, it’s about gaining more experience at this stage of my career. The more riding, the better for me.
