Milik: I’m moving forward

For the decorated Czech rider, the Saturday event in Leszno was the 41st round of the Speedway Euro Championship in which he participated. Milík finished in thirteenth place, but his start to the competition was very successful and promising.
The beginning of the event in Leszno was very good for you – five points in the first two rides. What happened afterward?
- In the first two heats, I got off the start gate quickly. I rode a good line and managed to bring home some really good points. Then the conditions changed a bit; there was no track grading because the referee wanted to finish the event quickly due to the weather. A worse starting gates and lack of speed affected me.
We’ve had three rounds of this year’s series behind us. The last competition remains, which will take place on September 19 in front of your Czech fans in Pardubice.
- Yes, we will race in the Czech Republic. If conditions are optimal, we can expect great racing. The track in Pardubice is unique and has many lines. From this place, I invite all fans to the fourth round of the TAURON SEC, which will be held in Pardubice.
Finally, I want to ask about returning to the optimal form you have shown before because it’s clear you’re slowly getting back to it.
- It’s a slow process, but step by step I’m moving forward, and I hope that next season you will see the new-old Václav Milík. Keep your fingers crossed, and as always, I will give it my all.
