Blödorn: I love riding in close contact

You had a great day, fiercely fighting for top positions until the very end. Your performance shows that you probably like short tracks that require technical riding?

- Absolutely. I love riding in close contact, where on one hand you can keep attacking all the time, but at the same time you have to watch out for rivals coming up from behind. The track in Güstrow is a place where you can really race.

This was your third appearance in the Speedway Euro Championship round on your native soil. You didn’t get the jitters before performing in front of the German crowd. The fans, as usual, did not disappoint and filled the stadium.

- To be honest, I was a bit nervous at the very beginning. But later the support of the fans gave me confidence, and I rode better and better with each heat. From my perspective, the only thing I regret is the "last chance heat," because I had a chance to qualify for the final. My rivals got better starts off the tape.

The Championship of the Old Continent has been hosted in Güstrow for the tenth time. The round at this venue has almost become a tradition. Are you in favor of that, and do you think this center needs such an event?

- Of course. The fans witnessed fantastic racing again this year. I believe events like this should continue to be organized at such venues.
