“Smolly” is the best active German rider. He is a well-known rider on traditional and long track. He’s the first rider in speedway history who took part in Grand Prix cycle in both speedway variants.

33 years old rider started his career in Polish league in 2006, when he signed a contract with RKM Rybnik. After 2 seasons he changed the team and came to Grudziądz for only one season. In 2009 he was riding for Unibax Toruń, but team’s coach let him compete in only 4 races in just one meeting. Finally, he scored only 1 point in Ekstraliga. This season he skipped best speedway leagues to prepare for Grand Prix and Speedway Best Pairs, where with his teammates he finished 6th.

Smolinski is one of the most surprising SGP rounds winners, because he won his first Grand Prix competition in Auckland. Of course it wasn’t a case, because he made a good result some days earlier on Motoarena in Toruń, during Speedway Best Pairs.
SEC 2017 will be third in his career. He came to the final cycle this year after SEC Challenge in Gorican, by finishing on 5th position.
