It's this Saturday, August 5, when in Swedish Hallstavik, third round of Speedway Euro Championship 2017 is being held. Venue of this round's host is also a home track for Andreas Jonsson.
Rider, who is the only Swede among permanent participants in the series, has been doing great so far. Solid performances in Toruń and Güstrow made Jonsson appear in the overall classification on 6th position.
- It's ok, but could've been better - says Jonsson about his current position. - I felt i could have done much better in Güstrow. I would like to be in the semi finals in the end of the meeting. I felt strong and could've even reached the final heat.
Speedway Euro Championship series moves to HZ Bygg Arena - track of current Swedish champions - Rospiggarna Hallstavik, which Jonsson represents. "AJ" is also a track record's holder and by the way it's the shortest track among all of this year's edition. Does it make Jonsson have an advantage over the others?
- Everyoone has been riding a lot there, but I hope that I know this track a bit better - "AJ" said.
On Saturday, fans' eyes in Sweden will be pointed on Jonsson, who aroused their appetite with his good disposition for reaching a second medal in the history of Swedish riders' starts in SEC (first was son by Antonio Lindbaeck in 2015). What's more, this round will be held on Jonsson's hometrack. Does it bring any special pressure to "AJ".
- I feel happy to be here and don't feel any pressure, I'm just happy to race here. I wish i could ride a little bit better than previously - Jonsson ended.
