The lowest podium grade and the bronze medal in previous SEC edition was a historical event in the Polish speedway. Krzysztof Kasprzak was the first Pole who finished SEC in top 3.
Previous cycle was splendid for rider from Leszno. Kasprzak finished 2 rounds on the podium. 11 points were enough for second place in Gustrow and 14 points allowed Kasprzak to finish last round in Rybnik on third place. Finally, 38 points scored in whole rounds classified “Kasper” on third place in SEC 2017.
The beginning of 2017 season hasn’t been successful for Kasprzak. In third PGE Ekstraliga meeting he had broken his collarbone, and because of that he didn’t ride since May 7th. Before the injury, “KK” started in 3 Cash Broker Stal Gorzów matches, scored 12 points in 10 races (avg. 1,300 point/race) and in British Premiership, he scored 31 points in 18 races for Poole Pirates (avg. 1,833 point/race).
Regardless for SEC 2013-2016 statistics, Kasprzak is the best Polish rider with avg. 1,96 point/race. This year “Kasper” would like to start with number 507 on his back. Why did“KK” choose that one?
- I really like that number. On motocross I rode with #507 too – said Kasprzak.
“KK” has 2 weeks to come back to his best form. Fortunately, on Wednesday he’s back on the bike in Gorzów. On June 30th he’ll have first big chance to show how strong he is after the injury. Tickets for competition in Toruń are still on sale. You can buy it on eventim.pl, in Media Markt, Saturn and Empik.
