Many treated his advancing to the SEC as a surprise, but Vaclav Milik's beginning of the series was quite good. 13 points after two rounds were giving a solid chance to think about promoting to the cycle again in the next year. Unfortunetely for Czech rider, his poorer form came in the least proper moment.
Promotion to the series that he got in Toruń was quite a surprise, but it would not be fair to say it was an accidental thing. For Vaclav senior's son it was a really good period, that found confirmation during the inaugural round at MotoArena. However, 7 points that he reached did not lead him to the race-off heat, but gave a strong hope for a good performance throughout the whole season.
Especially after an incredible beginning of the 2nd round in Landshut. 6 points in two starts put him at the top of the overall classification. Unfortunately, next three heats were not as good for him. After a wonderful start, Milik got completely lost with his bike's set-ups and ultimately finished the rivalry with 6 points reached.
Last two rounds were not as good for young Czech rider. Only 7 points in ten heats gave him 20 points in total and placed him at 11th position of the generall classification.
How can we sum up Milik's performance in this year's European Championship? With no doubt, he had a spark in the beginning, impressed many with his reasonableness and making right decisions at the track. Second part of the season was crucial though and caused that Czech did not promote to the next year's series. However, we're sure that the world of speedway will hear about "Vaska" again.
