On September 19, Final Round of Speedway European Championships will be held. Therefore, some traffic problems around the Municipal Stadium can appear.
On Saturday, September 19 from 10am till 9pm road traffic will be closed around the Municipal Stadium including the streets: Olimpijska, Piłsudskiego (from Jana Pawła II traffic circle to the one near the stadium), Paderewskiego (from Wysockiej to the traffic circle near the stadium), Al. Powstańców Śląskich (from Paderewskiego to Kompałły). Only the VIP Gold and VIP invitations' holders will be able to get to the stadium directly.
From 4pm two buffer car parks will be open (located near the Głogowska street (City Marketplace) & Witosa (City Marketplace) mostly for the fans coming from outside Ostrów.
From 10am car parks near Poviat Starosty, City Council & Komeda cinema will be open. The one next to Poviat Starosty is dedicated to buses. Behind its building, buses and cars will be able to park. Car park located behind the City Council will be marked as a dedicated for the media representatives. The one near Komeda cinema will be set for cars.
Citizens of Ostrów Wielkopolski, planning to attend the event, are asked to use, if possible, public transport or getting to the stadium on foot.
Moreover, during the SEC Final Round at the Municipal Stadium, there will be a supportive action for Darcy Ward taken. Australian rider is currently in the hospital in UK and healing and recovery costs exceed his financial abilities.
Before the meeting (from 3pm) and after, special T-shirts DW#43 will be available to be bought. Additional money can be donated as well. During the meeting, volunteers in purple DW#43 shirts, marked with special IDs will be collecting funds among the fans.
Special flag 5x5 metres will be put at the stadium and every fan will have a chance to sign it and send his wishes to Darcy Ward. After the meeting, flag will be transferred to UK and given to Darcy. From the beginning, several dozen thousands PLN have been collected and it was supported by musicians as well, including Kev Fox, Grupa MoCarta etc.
