Peter Kildemand will not start during the third round of Speedway European Championships in Swedish Kumla. Dane is struggling with a hand injury and is not able to take part in the competition on both Saturday and during Sunday's league match in Poland.
"After the match against Grudziadz I went to X-ray, but everything was kind of fine. Unfortunately, in the following days the pain has not passed, and all the time I do not know what happened to my hand, but it is still heavily swollen. I wanted to get back at the weekend, but unfortunately this is not possible. I regret that I will not ride in the European Championships, as well as on Sunday in a league match of my Polish team. "- says Peter Kildemand.
After two rounds "Spider" is taking the sixth place with sixteen points in the general classification of SEC series. Absenteeism in the Swedish competition will result in large losses and Dane may have big problems with direct qualification for next year competition of Individual European Championship.
"Today I cannot say anything about the return. I am waiting now for detailed examination to determine finally the reason for this severe pain. Unfortunately, I feel as if something in my hand was broken, but, on the other hand, I hope that it is not because I want to come back as soon as possible. I do not know yet whether it will be possible, but I would love to ride next week again. "- ended Kildemand.
