To be honest, after the two rounds of Speedway European Championships nothing is known. Athough after the rounds in Torun and Landshut top two has crystallized, the advantage of the leader over the second rider is minimal. But fight for the last place at the podium and secury in next year series is getting more and more exciting.
The third round of SEC, which takes place on the 15th of August, will be like litmus paper for the best riders of Europe. It will be on 375 meter long track where the fight will come into decisive phase.
It seems that the track in Sweden will be the biggest advantage for four riders who start in the local team, Indianerna. A real hero of local audience is Piotr Protasiewicz who at the moment is taking the seventh place with 15 points on his account. “PePe” has been starting in Kumla for 16 years and consequently he is a living legend of the local club. As a result he knows all lines of ICA Maxi Arena and he really knows how the track reacts in every weather conditions.
The third rider of the general classification, Antonio Lindbaeck will also count on a good start because he has real chance for a medal of Individual European Championship. Artem Laguta surely thinking about big number of points, but the series is not going well for him this year. If we add to this Emil Sayfutdinov, always fast Nicki Pedersen and irritated about the lack of podium in Landshut Tomasz Gollob, who are in really great shape, it can be surely said that we are waiting for one of the most exciting events this season!
