Tomasz Jędrzejak despite the severe pain that accompanies him while riding has qualified to the final tournament of Speedway European Championships. In the interview admitted that he has reached a goal, which he set himself before the tournament.

Tomek, congratulations on the occasion of qualification to Speedway European Championships. It's certainly an incredible success, taking into account recent events ...

- Qualification to SEC series is a great achievement. That was my goal and this goal was achieved. I am pleased very much because I know about the last days. Behind me are really hard ten days. Several downs made its own, by which I do not feel fully comfortable on a bike. My physiotherapist has told me recently that success is born in pain. The track in Toruń is very specific and does not forgive mistakes. Every little mismatch, whether or riding or the wrong line, rivals use. I had to work very hard to qualify.

You were very fast. Even when you were losing starts, on a distance you easily dealt with rivals ...

- It's true. At the beginning I could not start well but later I corrected it and it was definitely better. Frankly, I calmed down when on my account was already ten points. Then I knew that nobody took me the place in SEC.

What about the additional heat? There wasn’t too much fight?

- It was the heat that does not decide about anything. It is known that I wanted to be the second but after worse start there was no point to race. Hans was faster and took the second place. I am glad that I found myself on the podium but even more that I qualified to SEC.

Tomasz Jędrzejak at the start next to Nicki Pedersen, Emil Sayfutdinov. Does it make an impression? How do you feel with it?

- It's an amazing feeling. This is most obvious for me, because I'm smiling. Really it is a great thing that I qualified for Speedway European Championships and I will do my best to fight for the best result.

With what number will you start in SEC series?

- I’ve chosen number #79 because this is the year of my birth. I hope it’ll bring me luck.
