In 2015 the cities Landshut and Guestrow will exchange events which are organized by One Sport. The second round of Speedway European Championships takes place at One – Solar Arena in Landshut and, on the other hand, in Guestrow, on a very specific track the best pairs in the world will fight in Speedway Best Pairs Cup.
In 2014, in Guestrow there was the inauguration of the fight for the European Champion title. It was really successful because the stadium was more than full of audience, who had appeared in Guestrow a few days before the tournament. The riders emphasized at the very beginning that the atmosphere which was in Germany couldn’t be described and surely fans helped everybody by their great support.
MC Guestrow is a club which has 50 year tradition. What is interesting the track there is made from slag which is quite rare nowadays. It is 298 meters long and the record holder is Piotr Protasiewicz. It’s a difficult and technical track on which only few participants of last year SEC had an opportunity to ride. Fans, on the other hand, can expect great fight in each heat. To develop young talents, the MC Guestrow has a second team, and every willing young man has a possibility each week training for motorcycles with a capacity of 80cc and 500cc.
Let’s remind that in Guestrow during Speedway European Championships, Nicki Pedersen won and his countryman Peter Kildemand took the second place. If we add to this Niels Kristian Iversen, it appears that we have really strong team who can fight for a cup during Speedway Best Pairs Cup.
On the other hand, One – Solar Arena was lucky for Australia who won during the second round of SBPC and came closer then to the triumph in the whole series.
At the stadium in Landshut it is said to be funny and safe. Why? If one looks at a photo of the stadium from the top, if one is lucky, one can see… smiling face! Apart from that in a place, where AC Landshut has its matches, in 2009 the training centre of a nationwide automobile ADAC was built and it is one of five located in southern Bavaria. It is in Landshut where there is slip plat, “watersplash” and a place to train controlled slides.
