Andzejs Lebedevs is one of the most talented riders in Latvia. In the final of Challenge in Debrecen he was riding really good but after the additional heat it appeared that he didn’t qualify to SEC 2014…
He received the wild card but it can’t be said that he seized the opportunity. Latvian didn’t win any heat. As a matter of fact, eight times he was second which helped him to improve the sum of points in general classification at the end of the season.
Lebedevs is a very brave rider but this season everything went not so good as he would expect. The most successful he was in Togliatti where he scored eight points and also in Gustrow where he scored seven. However the events in Holsted in Częstochowa were unsuccessful for Latvian and because of that he was tenth in general classification of Speedway European Championships 2014.
A kind of justification for Lebedevs can be a fact that it was his debut season in European Championship series. It should be reminded also that Latvian is still a rider U21. Despite of this fact he had quite good season in Polish league and many clubs of ENEA Ekstraliga are interested in him. In 2015 Lebedevs again will start in SEC qualifications and thanks to this year’s experience he will present fans even more effective style.
