Niels Kristian Iversen will start in Holsted with the wild card. Because 'PUK' is in a really great disposition, it can be expected that he will fight for a win in his homeland. If he manage to do that, he will repeat the feat of Krzysztof Kasprzak who won in Gorican last year also as a rider with a wild card.
Iversen had a debut on a track in 1999, when he was seventeen. His biggest achievements are gold medals of Speedway World Cup including the one which he won a few days ago in Bydgoszcz. 'PUK' is also bronze medalist of Individual World Championship. Younger team mate of Nicki Pedersen was knocking on to world elite quite long He had a debut in world championship in 2004 but these weren’t satisfying scores for him. He had to prove fans really long that he is talented rider who can have good scores.
It seems that the change of silencers helped to release his real potential. Just like touched by a magic wand, Iversen became top rider in Polish league. His form was better and better and he scores caused that more and more people paid attention on him. Finally, after many years of waiting, Iversen won bronze medal of world championship which has been his biggest individual achievement so far.
During this year’s Speedway Best Pairs Cup he was really effective and he had big influence in winning second place by Danish team. Dane will definitely like to repeat the feat of Krzysztof Kasprzak and become second rider in the history of SEC who will win a tournament starting with a wild card. Let’s remind that in Gorican, Croatia Kasprzak won with 15 points. How will it look like in Iversen’s case? We’ll find out on Saturday but it is worth to remember that the most dangerous rival for 'PUK' will be his countryman, the leader of SEC series, Nicki Pedersen.
