Niels Kristian Iversen has got the wild card for the third round of Individual European Championships, which takes place on the 9th of August in Holsted (Denmark, from the organizers of Speedway European Championships. Reserved riders will be Patrick Hougaard and Rasmus Jensen.
“PUK” is now the best Danish rider, apart from Nicki Pedersen. Many experts claim that he is even the fastest rider in the world. 2012 was the breakthrough for Dane… Then he found the right form and showed everyone that he really can ride speedway.
- I really like SEC series. Although I haven’t had an opportunity to take part in it yet, I’m waiting for my debut soon. I was watching some of the tournaments on TV and they really impressed me. There are really great riders in SEC. I started in European Championship some time ago but it was old formula then so it was totally different. – says Niels Kristian Iversen.
Year later it was even better – in Polish league he was still great and in World Championship he won bronze medal and became Individual Danish Champion! As a result Iversen becomes one of the candidates for the podium of the third round of SEC in Holsted. Fans are already looking forward to his great fight with Nicki Pedersen and also with other fourteen best riders of Europe.
Iversen took part also in two tournaments of Speedway Best Pairs Cup and he scored 17 points twice for Danish team. It will be Niels’ debut in the new formula of SEC series. The rider from Denmark confirms that riding in front of his audience creates special atmosphere and he promises he will do his best.
- I’m really happy that I will ride in this event. I’m looking forward to it and I’ll do my best to have a good score. There are really great riders in SEC and the fight will be really hard but I hope I’ll be in the race off at least. Of course I will be fighting for a win and I would like to achieve it very much. – ends “PUK”.
