The PGE Ekstraliga kicked off on Saturday. Three permanent participants of TAURON SEC 2023 - Patryk Dudek, Leon Madsen and Mikkel Michelsen - performed on Polish tracks.
The most satisfied of the three is Dudek, whose Apator Toruń defeated Stal Gorzów 47:43. The 2021 SEC bronze medallist scored 9+1. The Polish representative won two races, beating such riders as Martin Vaculik and Szymon Wozniak.
In the second meeting, GKM Grudziądz tied with Wlókniarz Czestochowa 45:45. The visitors featured last year's Individual European Championship medallists - Leon Madsen and Mikkel Michelsen. Madsen was the best rider for the guests, scoring 13 points in five starts. In the last race of the day, the two-time winner of the TAURON SEC fought a fantastic duel with Nicki Pedersen, but it was the 2016 European champion who crossed the finish line first. For Michelsen, it was his debut in Włókniarz. The 2019 and 2021 IEC gold medallist scored 8+2.
