Dominik Kubera was the highest ranked rider from 2023 TAURON SEC line-up who took part in PGE IMME tournament held in Toruń.
MotoArena hosted 15 best riders of Speedway Ekstraliga 2022, who were competing in Zenon Plech's PGE IMME. The meetings was won by three-time world champion, Bartosz Zmarzlik.
All five permanent riders of TAURON SEC 2023 - Leon Madsen, Janusz Kołodziej, Mikkel Michelsen, Patryk Dudek and Dominik Kubera were racing today, and the best of them was Kubera, who finished at the fourth place. The Pole advanced to the final, but the bike failure ended his heat at the first corner.
Mikkel Michelsen took seventh place. The bronze medallist of last year's Individual European Championship scored eight points in the regular part of the tournament, but he finished second in the semifinal, which in this case didn't give him a promotion to the final.
Places from 11 to 13 were occupied by Janusz Kołodziej, Patryk Dudek and Leon Madsen. Especially result of the current champion can be shocker, but as the Dane said, he chose the engine, which is not perfectly fitted to the MotoArena's track, but after changing the bike, Madsen won the race, crossing the finish line in front of Dominik Kubera, Maciej Janowski and Chris Holder.
Each of these five will participate in TAURON SEC 2023 series, which will be inaugurated in Częstochowa on June 17. The tickets are available at www.speedwayeuro.com.
