SGP | Madsen second in Warsaw, Michelsen just behind the podium

Leon Madsen took second place in the Orlen Warsaw FIM SGP 2022. Thanks to the great result, Madsen is on the second place in the interim classification of the series.

Madsen had a fantastic start of the meeting. Individual European Champion from 2018 won his first two heats. The Dane advanced to the semis with 10 points, which was one of the bests results in the regular phase of the meeting. Madsen was second in heat 22 and choose a blue helmet for the final. In the second attempt of the final, Madsen crossed the line as second.

Michelsen got a great evening in Warsaw. The Current Individual European Champion advanced to the semi-final with eight points. In heat 22 the Dane crossed the line as the first and grabbed his place in the final. In the most important heat of the day, Michelsen was excluded due to the fall, which was the result of the battle with Leon Madsen.

Patryk Dudek finished on the 12th place. Pole won only one heat - his last one race, but it didn't let him advance to the semis.

Daniel Bewley scored 5 points and took 14th place.

Complete Dudek led Toruń to the derby win

  This year's TAURON Speedway Euro Championship series will begin with the final round on July 2 in Rybnik and will traditionally consist of four rounds (the only exception to that was the pandemic season of 2020 when five rounds were played).
