Jepsen Jensen's solidity

Share on:

Word that would perfectly describe Michael Jepsen Jensen is "solidity". Dane hasn't used to get under some level and it was the same when it comes to his starts in TAURON SEC 2019. Rider of Falubaz Zielona Góra had been in the game for medals for a long time, but ultimately he had to leave empty handed.

It all started really promising. Dane didn't go to Guestrow as one of the favourites, but except for a poor heat no.5, he was racing really well. Two "threes" in the main series looked promising. After all, "Liglad" got himself into the race-off heat. There, however, his plans to get through to the final were buried by latter bronze medalist Leon Madsen and Antonio Lindbaeck.

In Toruń, it was slightly worse, even though Jepsen Jensen would start in Get Well Toruń team some years before. At Motoarena, Dane would not cross the finish line as first even once and he ended this meeting after piling only six points. It was not enough to let him through to the race-off heat and Dane had to pack his stuff early. We already mentioned that in Guestrow, Jensen was really close to a satisfying score. In Vojens, before his home crowd, he was even closer. This time, after an effective fight for a spot in the race-off heat, first position in it came! What's worth mentioning, Dane defeated Kacper Woryna on the distance in a spectacular style.

However, he had slightly less luck in the final heat, where up till the very last meters, he was chasing his countryman - Nicki Pedersen, with no result, though. After all, he got the worst sportsman position - fourth, but still with chances for a medal, he headed to Chorzów.
Ahead of the last round, Jensen was only three points down to Mikkel Michelsen, who was third back then. In such case, difference between a possible success or a failure, comes in details. Unluckily for Jensen, he was clearly lacking in wins. He would gather twos and ones, which couldn't let him guarantee fighting for a medal.

At the end of the day, Dane's season can be described at most as a decent one. He did not reach for the TOP 3 spot or even TOP 5. In Guestrow and Vojens, he missed his luck by inches, but in both cases it were his rivals who were smarter. Let's just hope that it was not a final word of this sympathetic Dane in SEC series.
