Let's get down to business!

After a one-year break, Bydgoszcz once again hosts a round of the Individual Speedway European Championship. Today’s competition in the city on the Brda River marks the 50th tournament in the history of the Speedway Euro Championship, as well as the opening round of this year’s series.

This will be the fourth time that Bydgoszcz welcomes the TAURON SEC. The first occasion was in 2020, when Leon Madsen claimed victory ahead of Mikkel Michelsen and Grigory Laguta. Emil Sayfutdinov, competing as a wild card, finished fourth that year. The second meeting of the European title contenders at Sportowa 2 took place a year later. Again, Leon Madsen emerged as the winner, with Piotr Pawlicki finishing second and Daniel Bewley third. Two years ago, the city on the Brda hosted the continental championship round for the third time. Leon Madsen completed a 'hat-trick' of victories, this time leaving Mikkel Michelsen and Dominik Kubera behind.

Today’s event promises to be incredibly competitive, as reflected by the lineup for this year’s series. Every fan will easily find their favorite among the contenders. The championship tracks will feature riders such as Leon Madsen, Patryk Dudek, Andzejs Lebedevs, and Michael Jepsen Jensen—athletes who represent the elite of the sport worldwide. TAURON SEC is also about youth and boldness, best embodied this season by Mateusz Cierniak, Nazar Parnitskyi, and Tom Brennan. The Individual European Championship will also showcase riders for whom no position is ever lost during a race, including Dimitri Berge, Frederik Jakobsen, and Timo Lahti. Combined with the spectacular nature of the Bydgoszcz track, one thing is certain - we are in for a truly thrilling spectacle!
