After three rounds of this year's series, the Latvian rider is in second place, six points behind the leader Patryk Dudek. What mindset is he bringing to Friday's competition?
The emotions from the last FIM SGP round in Vojens have not yet settled, and already on Friday you will compete in the decisive round of TAURON SEC. The last few days must have been really busy for you.
- Such is the life of a speedway rider. When the season is in full swing, we move from one event to another. I feel a bit sorry about the event in Vojens, where I really wanted to fight for the podium. Now Pardubice awaits us, and we are fighting for gold in the Speedway Euro Championship.
Despite not reaching the podium in Vojens, you likely secured your place in the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series for next year. Do you still have motivation to fight in TAURON SEC 2025?
- Of course. Even though I am six points behind Patryk, I will do everything to defend last year's title. I do not intend to give up in Pardubice. We can expect an exciting competition not only for the medal positions but also for securing a place in the series.
