Lahti: Every event has its own rules

For Lahti this is the fourth season competing as a permanent participant in the Speedway Euro Championship series. Before the final battles in Pardubice, he is in finifteenth place with eleven points to his name.

Ahead of us is the fourth round of the TAURON SEC 2025, which will take place in Pardubice. Who is your favorite for the podium on this track?

- That’s a difficult question. Above all, this venue favors good racing. It’s a wide track, and if the hosts prepare it well, the gathered fans will witness an exciting event. In my opinion, the upcoming round could be affected by autumn weather. My favorite to win is one person - Patryk Dudek. From what I remember, Leon Madsen also likes racing in the Czech Republic, so it promises to be an interesting tournament.

After three rounds of this year’s competition, Patryk Dudek leads with a six-point advantage over second-placed Andžejs Lebedevs. According to Timo Lahti, who will become the Individual European Champion?

- The best will win. At this moment, the main favorite is Patryk Dudek. In my opinion, Madsen and Lebedevs should also be on the series podium. We must not forget riders like Kacper Woryna, Nazar Parnitskyi, and Michael Jepsen Jensen, but as we all know - every event has its own rules.

Three young riders made their debut as permanent participants in the TAURON SEC 2025 series. Do you see any rider from the young speedway generation who will fight for top positions in the most prestigious events in the future?

- From my perspective, there are several such riders. Leading the way is Nazar Parnitsky — a young guy with great potential. In the future, Mateusz Cierniak and Norick Blodorn should also be strong.

Your hobby outside the speedway track is...?

- Definitely winter sports: skiing, snowboarding, and hiking mountain trails not only during the winter months.
