Madsen with a win in Zielona Góra

The first round of the SEC in Zielona Góra ended with a triumph for Leon Madsen. Mikkel Michelsen and Patryk Dudek completed the top three.

The competition started best for Michael Jepsen Jensen, who won the first heat. The second heat featured an explosive start from gate four by Piotr Pawlicki, who left the rest of the pack behind on the very first lap. The last two races of the first series were won by Mikkel Michelsen and Patryk Dudek.

'Liglad' did not stray from his winning path in the second series, either. Kai Huckenbeck and Patryk Dudek remained at the very top of the standings after eight races. In the last heat before the second track grading, Jan Kvech recorded his first heat victory since returning to compete in the Old Continent's championship.

The third series brought a third three-point win for Michael Jepsen Jensen. Piotr Pawlicki returned to the fight for the top spots, accumulating six points after twelve heats.

The regular phase of the Zielona Góra competition ultimately went to "Liglad". Right behind him in second place, with the same number of points as Jepsen Jensen, was Patryk Dudek. Places 3 through 6, which guaranteed a spot in the Last Chance Heat, were taken by Kai Huckenbeck, Leon Madsen, Mikkel Michelsen, and Mathias Pollestad, respectively.

Leon Madsen triumphed in the penultimate heat of the evening, with Mikkel Michelsen becoming the second rider to advance to the decisive race. The grand final was a spectacular showcase by the most decorated rider in the SEC era, marking his thirteenth round victory in the Individual European Championship. The three-time series champion crossed the finish line behind him, while Patryk Dudek rounded off the podium.
