We have met the five riders who have been granted permanent ‘wild cards’ for TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2025.
After an eight-year break, Przemysław Pawlicki returns to the Individual European Championship competition. So far, he has participated in twelve rounds of SEC, scoring a total of 95 points.
This will be the eleventh consecutive year in the TAURON SEC series for Václav Milík. His most notable achievements in the European Championship include two medals – silver in 2016 and bronze in 2017.
This year’s series will also feature Norick Blödorn. The 21-year-old is one of the most talented riders of the young generation in German speedway. Regular appearances in the TAURON SEC will be a great opportunity for his further development and gaining valuable experience.
The fourth ‘wild card’ goes to Timo Lahti. The Finnish rider with a Swedish passport was forced to withdraw from the SEC Challenge due to an injury. It's worth noting that in 2020, Lahti stood on the podium during the TAURON SEC rounds held in Gniezno and Toruń.
The final, fifth permanent ‘wild card’ has been awarded to Tom Brennan. The young Brit is known for his fighting spirit and impressive riding style. In his career so far, he has appeared in one round of TAURON SEC – last year at the Slaski Stadium – where he finished in tenth place.
The reserve riders for the series are: Szymon Woźniak, Marko Levishyn, Rasmus Jensen, David Bellego, and Anže Grmek.
