Kacper Woryna took third place during the Grand Finale of the TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2024, held at the Śląski Stadium in Chorzów. Thanks to his high points tally, the Pole claimed the bronze medal in the Individual European Championships.
Woryna started this year's cycle by finishing sixth in the opening round, which took place in Debrecen. The competition then moved to Grudziądz, where he finished second. The penultimate round, held in Güstrow, saw him finish seventh.
Before the final round held at the Śląski Stadium, he was in third place in the interim classification, still in a battle for any of the medals. Ultimately, he handled the pressure and secured the bronze medal with a race win in the fifth series of starts.
- For me, the dream medal is gold, but to be honest, going into this year's cycle, I would have gladly taken bronze. There's a lot to be happy about, though I know there's still work to be done.
During the final competition in Chorzów, Woryna scored consistently and made no mistakes, as evidenced by his point total. The Pole finished the tournament with eleven points. How did he assess the preparation of the Chorzów track and the atmosphere in the stands?
- The track was normal. I don't really have an opinion on it. Personally, I rode well on it and it was alright, so I can't complain. The atmosphere was quite loud, and you could feel it. A big thanks to all the fans who supported me at the Śląski Stadium.
