Max Fricke will participate with a "wild card" during the second round of the TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2024, which will take place on July 20 in Grudziądz. The inclusion of the Australian in the European Championship is an unusual situation, but the organizers are confident that this choice will bring positive results.

Fricke was born on June 26, 1996, in Mansfield, Victoria. In 2013, he signed his first contract in Europe - at the age of 17, he joined the Edinburgh Monarchs.

Among his greatest successes as a junior, he can count the 2016 Individual World Championship U-21 title. A year later, he enjoyed a bronze medal. On the local "scene," he won the title of Individual Australian U-21 Champion four times – in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2017.

Since 2015, Fricke has regularly competed in the Polish league. So far, he has represented the colors of four teams: ROW Rybnik (2015-2017), WTS Sparta Wrocław (2018-2020), Falubaz Zielona Góra (2021-2022), and GKM Grudziądz (2023-).

The Australian is a former regular participant in the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series. Competing in 47 rounds, he has scored a total of 340 points. Fricke has reached the final three times, winning two of them. These victories were in 2020 in Toruń and two years later in Warsaw.

For many years, Fricke has been a key member of the Australian speedway team. This is best evidenced by the gold medal won at the 2022 FIM Speedway of Nations. In the event's final, the Australian scored 11 points and two bonuses.
