Patryk Dudek was probably the unluckiest rider in Debrecen. The Polish rider performed well for most of the first round of the TAURON SEC 2024 but was excluded from the final race due to a crash.
‘Duzers’ quickly adapted to the Hungarian track from the very first starts. He demonstrated it by the fact that he was the only unbeaten rider after two series. He ultimately finished the regular phase in second place, securing a direct entry into the final heat.
- Me and my whole team read the track in Debrecen very well. I felt very fast, which also boosted my confidence.
Unfortunately, his successful performance ended there. In the final race, after a great start from the fourth gate, Dudek lost control of his bike on the first curb and fell due to his own mistake. The referee had no choice and excluded the well-performing Dudek from the restart.
- Unfortunately, my plans were thwarted by the water that was sprinkled on the track before the final phase of the event. The surface became very slippery, which I did not expect at all, and I spun. Sadly, I had to say goodbye to the additional points.
